Phones for Seniors
It's a little different searching for service for Seniors. Here are
some options
Jitterbug You are required to have Jitterbug Service to go along with a Jitterbug phone. Jitterbug uses the Verizon Wireless network so you will have good coverage throughout the USA. Service costs between $15 (50 voice minutes) and $80 (unlimited voice minutes) a month. Texts are 10c and you can buy 300 texts a month for $5.

Snapfon EZone
The Snapfon ezONE The Snapfon ezONE is a large button cell phone. This is an unlocked quad-band GSM phone so it will operate on AT&T or T-Mobile. There is text messaging but no data. You can get it on Amazon for around $60. It comes with a PureTalk USA SIM but you do not have to use it. You can use any GSM SIM. This is a 2G-only phone so it will not work in 3g only areas. This will not be a problem in the near time but will be in a few years. Personally I have used this phone. It is loud and the buttons are large. The menus are pretty complicated (think 2001 cell phone menus!) which is counter-intuitive for a senior phone.
Clarity PAL
The Clarity PAL The Clarity PAL is another large button cell phone. This is an unlocked quad-band GSM phone so it will operate on AT&T or T-Mobile. There is text messaging but no data. You can get it on Amazon for around $100. You can use any GSM SIM. This is a 2G-only phone so it will not work in 3g only areas. I will be testing this phone out soon!
